Middle Level Management

The Middle Level Management often referred to as the executory level department managers are responsible to top level management for the functions of their department. Depending on the size of the company, there can be additional layers such as senior and junior levels of management.

Middle Level Managers devote their time to driving their key department function by directing First Level Management. They are responsible for the recruitment and training of the first level of management whilst ensuring communication between Top and First level of management are  adhered to in the form of reporting for their relevant business objectives.

Some of the responsibilities of Middle Level Management are:

  • To ensure the objectives set by Top Level Management are carried out according to plan
  • To coordinate activities within their division or department
  • Be the driver of motivation and efficiency of the First Level Managers
